What is Ativan?

Lorazepam is sold under the brand name Ativan amongst others it is a benzodiazepine medication .

It is used , to treat anxiety disorders , troubled sleeping, active seizures including status epilepticus , alcohol withdrawal and chemotherapeutic induced nausea and vomiting.

It is used during surgery to interfere with memory formation and it can be used for sever agitation.

Warning

-It should not be taken by people suffering from depression as the thought of suicide may be born in their minds
-An overdose may lead to passing out of the Individual.

Dosage

It’s typical prescription is based on your age ,the severity of your condition and the medical condition you may have . It is orally taken two to six mg daily . It is actually taken two to three times daily.
